Day one.
I was dropped off at a staircase that led me to the beautiful Freedom Beach. As I descended, I couldn’t shake off the thought of encountering a snake or a large scary insect.
However, this fear gradually faded as I got closer to my destination, witnessing incredibly beautiful landscapes! I saw a long beach and was eager to get there. At the end of my walk, I had to descend some rocks, and that’s when a wave of admiration washed over me.
I found myself on the most secluded beach I’ve ever been to. After looking around a bit, I was still worried about being alone. But after a while, I stopped being afraid and went swimming. Relaxing on such a beach seemed therapeutic to me, because, at least, there was no network coverage at all! Freedom, although scary, was so relaxing 🙂 I realized that I didn’t want to be here all the time. Why? Because such a relaxing effect should be taken in doses. However, soon my proud solitude was interrupted by a photographer and two girls. But there was enough space for everyone. By the way, while I was alone, several men passed by, and not once did they interrupt my solitude. After a few hours, I was picked up, and just in time, because people started pouring in! In general, I realized that it’s best to get to this beach as early as possible.
I arrived around 8 am; the sun came out around 9 am; people started pouring in from 10–40; left at 12 😉
Day two.
We decided that we needed to finally explore as many beaches in Phuket as possible. And we did! This time we visited:
Bang Tao Beach
Banana Beach
“Hotel” Beach
Naithon Beach
Mai Khao Beach
Bang Tao Beach is very calm. The beach is incredibly long, so there’s enough space for all vacationers. The sand is fine, pleasant shadows from the pines. We even sat on the swings. In general, if you want to get away from the constant hustle and bustle that happens on the beaches, welcome to Bang Tao Beach.
The next two points we hit on the way were not planned 🙂 : Banana Beach and the beach at the Andaman White Beach Resort. Banana Beach was crowded, and there was little space. Yes, it’s definitely beautiful there! High cliffs surround the area, there are boulders in the water where you can watch fish with a mask. We decided to boldly go to the next beach. As it turned out, the reception was under a roof in the open air. No one stopped us, so we confidently descended to the beach and… gasped! Wide shoreline, fine and snow-white sand (at least, whiter than the sand on Bang Tao), but the beach is not long. There were just the two of us and two more people on the beach. So we were able to relax for the first time, which charged us with positive emotions for the rest of the day.
When we visited Naithon Beach, we were able to enjoy not only the beach but also a large amount of fruit. Also, the prices here are reasonable for both fruits and clothes. Some Thais speak Russian, so even if you don’t speak a foreign language, you can easily buy everything you need. We had lunch in a local cafe, where we were served large portions of excellently prepared food.
And finally, our journey ended at Mai Khao Beach. Before the trip, we were scared that planes fly once every hour or two, but on the spot, we found out that we were lucky today, as planes fly every ten to fifteen minutes. So we were able to take pictures, swim, and also enjoy the sunset. The sand here turned out to be not fine, and it felt like walking on coarse sugar. It was a perfect end to such a day.
Day three.
This time we went south of Phuket. We visited:
Surin Beach
Kamala Beach
Karon Beach
Kata Beach
Kata Noi Beach
We decided not to go to Patong Beach yet. So I would like to tell a little about the above-mentioned beaches.
At Surin Beach, we swam with fish near the rocks. Many families with children rest here, and these children rejoice in the big waves. We also liked the fact that despite using the shower (it says “For visitors only”), no one said anything to us. By the way, the presence of a shower is a big plus.
After visiting Kamala Beach, we wanted to stay here. But a plan is a plan. Here is a well-groomed beach, perfect for a family vacation. Also a pleasant combination of hard sand near the palms, smoothly turning into fine sand near the shore. It’s worth noting the depth in the sea: in some places, it gets deep quickly, while in others, it’s a gradual descent.
Next, we arrived at Karon Beach. Where we stopped, there was a large stand with a rip current warning. The sand on the beach turned out to be “talking” – as you step on it, it seems to whisper something back. We found this to be a pleasant feature. We also had the good fortune to meet newlyweds who were having a photoshoot. We spent this time having a great time in the sea waves, and then started studying the further path to Kata Beach.
We reached Kata Beach. Yes, we liked the beautiful landscapes there. It’s no wonder there are many vacationers here, but it doesn’t prevent you from admiring the beauty that opened up to us.
And finally, our last stop was Kata Noi Beach. And here we experienced a slight disappointment – the beach was so crowded that there was no room for an apple to fall. After swimming to our heart’s content, we gathered our strength and went home.
Overall, we were pleased with the trips. The road turned out to be difficult due to the mountain serpentine.
Advice: if you are caught in a downpour, it’s better to wait it out. The main thing is your safety during the journey. Also, take care of your insurance for the duration of the trip.
